What is displayed on the Course Calendar page?
This is a graphical view of the Course Schedule. Course Sessions appear on the calendar according to their Start and End Dates.
The first day of the session is shown as Course Code + Geographic Area + Facility abbreviations. Example: L381-CA-CABTC. Additional days display only the Course Code and will be in line with the first day. Example: L381.
Sessions with a special status (eg: other than plain ol' Active) have a background color:
- Completed
- Active-Full-Closed
- Active-Late Noms Accepted
- Active-Nom Form Not Required
Hover over the Session entry for more information about the session. The pop-up shows Session Status + Geographic Area abbreviation + Course Name + Facility Name.
Click on the session to go the Session Details page.
What is NOT displayed on this page?
- Sessions with status set to Postponed, Cancelled, or Tenative Dates do not display on the calendar.
- Sessions that exceed 30 days in length do not display. Example: some academies list 'sessions' that last all summer. These will not display on the calendar.
- Sessions with blank Start and End Dates will not display.
- Sessions that have not been entered into the Course Schedule will not show up here either.
Remember to check each Geographic Area's Zone, Local, Academies and Other Training pages for more training opportunities.
Modify the display
You can filter the sessions displayed by Geographic Area. Click one of the Geographic Area buttons to limit the sessions. Click the All Geographic Areas button to display all sessions.
Date settings: you can show more than one month at a time. Click the dropdown menus under the month name to select the Start Month, Year and number of Months to Display. Then click the Go button.
The Geographic Area filter and date settings can be combined! Example: Start Month: February, Year: 2009, Months to Display: 4 and Geographic Area: Northwest will, after some churning, show you the Northwest's calendar for February through May 2009.
Don't see the results you expect? Make sure you have the Year and Geographic Area set correctly.
Print the calendar
Click the Print Calendar button in the upper right corner to create a printer friendly view of the calendar. For best results, use the File > Page Setup and File > Print Preview features on your web browser to check your settings before you print.
The
Mozilla Firefox browser allows you to shrink the calendar so that you
can print one month on a page, even if there are many sessions listed
on the month.
Hint: you'll probably want to filter the calendar by Geographic Area before you print.
